Kazakhstan names Samruk-Kazyna's entreprises planned to be put up for IPOs

Kazakhstan’s KazMunayGas, Air-Astana and Kazakhgas companies owned by Samruk-Kazyna Holding are planned to be put up for IPOs (initial public offerings) in the current and subsequent years, the country’s Prime Minister Alikhan Smailov said, Trend reports via the government.

Smailov made the remark during the meeting of President Kassym-Jomart Tokayev with local business representatives.

“Work will be intensified on implementing the Comprehensive Privatization Plan with the determination of clearer criteria for transfer to private ownership,” the prime minister noted.

According to him, in general, it’s planned to put up nearly 40 enterprises within the group of companies of the Samruk-Kazyna Holding for privatization in 2022 and 2023.

"Their list will be published in the near future," added Smailov.

Earlier, he said that Kazakhstan will adopt a new concept of public finance management.
