An iron foundry is being built in the industrial zone of Kazakhstan’s Kostanay city upon the project, Trend reports on Jan. 24 with reference to the press service of President of Tatarstan.
The statement was made during the working visit of President of Tatarstan of the Russian Federation Rustam Minnikhanov to Kazakhstan.
Presently, the Russian KAMAZ PJSC is implementing three major projects in Kazakhstan. One of them is the construction of an iron foundry in the industrial zone of Kostanay city in an area of more than 30,000 square meters. At this stage, the construction work is underway. The mass production will be launched in the second half of 2024, the capacity is up to 45,000 tons of cast iron per year.
Moreover, a plant for the production of main gears of drive axles for cars with a capacity of about 74,000 pieces per year is also being built in the same industrial zone.
KAMAZ PJSC is also working to increase the localization of the production of beam axles and now this project is at the approval stage.
