BAKU, Azerbaijan, Mar. 21. The prosecutor's office of the North Kazakhstan region of Kazakhstan calls on the residents of Petropavlovsk not to trust unverified information on the fact of a partial collapse of a pipe at a thermal power plant, Trend reports citing Kazinform.
According to the supervisory authority, rescue and search activities are ongoing for the lineman, who is allegedly under the rubble.
"Existing boiler units are not disabled. At the same time, for uninterrupted supply of thermal energy to consumers, standby boiler units were launched. The supply of thermal energy is carried out in the normal mode. In connection with the increasing spread of false information, we urge citizens to trust only official sources," the press service of the prosecutor's office said.
A partial collapse of one of the three chimneys at the Petropavlovsk CHP-2 occurred on the evening of March 20th. The operational headquarters operates in the region.
