BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 1. Inflation in Kazakhstan amounted to 14.5 percent in June 2022 compared to June 2021 and 1.6 percent compared to May 2022, Trend reports citing Kazakhstan’s Statistics Committee.
Food prices in June 2022 increased by 19.2 percent compared to June 2021, whereas prices of non-food products increased by 13.2 percent, and of paid services by 9.2 percent.
Among the food products, the largest increase in prices in annual terms was noted for granulated sugar - 78.7 percent, cabbage - 72.4 percent, onion - 69.3 percent. The decrease in prices was observed for potatoes by 9.8 percent.
The of prices for detergents and cleaning products - by 20.8 percent, household appliances - by 19.7 percent, building materials - by 18.6 percent, furniture and household items - by 18.2 percent, cars - by 15.1 percent, textile - by 10.8 percent, pharmaceutical goods - by 9 percent.
