BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 25. The task was set to provide gas and drinking water to all settlements of the Zhambyl region in Kazakhstan, Trend reports with reference to Kazakh media.

About 269 rural settlements of the Zhambyl region are provided with centralized drinking water, which is supplied to 622,000 people from more than a million people in the region.

Head of Executive power (Akim) of the Zhambyl region Nurzhan Nurzhigitov noted at the meeting with reporters that the residents of the region often raise issues in social networks related to the communal sector.

"The main areas of work have been identified in the housing and communal sector. Water supply will be installed in 30 rural settlements by the end of this year, where 40,200 people live. Natural gas will be provided to 17 settlements,” he said.

“Therefore, according to the development plan of the Zhambyl region 371 settlements of the region will be 100 percent provided with drinking water and natural gas by 2025," akim noted.

It is planned to build water supply in 62 villages to achieve this goal, and modernize the water supply system in 40 villages.

Complex block modules for water purification will be installed in 31 villages.

Drinking water is supplied according to the schedule in 36 settlements of the Zhambyl region, this year the number of such villages will be reduced by 30 percent.

It is also planned to build two autonomous gas distribution stations in the Zhambyl region.

The share of roads in good and satisfactory condition will be increased to 99.5 percent by 2025, and the share of streets in settlements - up to 94.1 percent.
