BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 16. Kazakhstan's economy grew by 5 percent from January through April 2023, said Minister of National Economy of Kazakhstan Alibek Kuantyrov at a Government meeting chaired by Prime Minister of Kazakhstan Alikhan Smailov, Trend reports via the PM's Office.
Meanwhile, growth in the real sector was 4.8 percent, and in the service sector – 4.9 percent. It was noted that there is a positive trend in all major industries, while the best indicators are in construction (+15.4 percent), trade (+11.2 percent), and information and communication (+9.7 percent) sectors.
The growth rate of investments in fixed assets amounted to 18 percent. Their inflow increased in such areas as transport and warehousing - 39.3 percent, agriculture - 26.5 percent, real estate transactions - 10 percent, as well as industry - 18.1 percent, including mining - 17.3 percent, and manufacturing - 7 percent.
In terms of regions, the highest rates are observed in Turkestan (+60.4 percent), Mangystau (+46 percent), Kyzylorda (+42.1 percent) and West Kazakhstan (+34.6 percent) regions.
