ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 16. In Kazakhstan, 7,429 microloans were issued in the amount of 42 billion tenge (about $89.9 million) for the development of rural entrepreneurship until September 13, Trend reports.

This was stated at a meeting of the project office "Auyl Amanaty" under the Government of Kazakhstan.

It was noted at the meeting that the government is actively implementing the task set by the president to develop rural entrepreneurship through agricultural cooperation. For this purpose, the “Auyl Amanaty” project is being implemented, within the framework of which villagers are provided with microloans at 2.5 percent per annum for a period of 5-7 years.

Thus, microloans allocated until September 13 cover 1,388 rural districts. Of these, 85 percent of microloans will be directed to livestock farming (35.8 billion tenge or about $76.6 million), 7 percent to crop production (2.8 billion tenge or about $5.99 million), 5 percent to the purchase of agricultural machinery and equipment for cooperatives, and 2.6 percent to other areas (1,1 billion tenge or about $2.35 million).
