BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 10. The volume of Kyrgyzstan’s imports of gasoline amounted to 55.7 million liters from January through February 2023, decreasing by 59.7 percent over 138.4 million liters in the corresponding months of 2022, Trend reports with reference to the State Statistical Committee of Kyrgyzstan.

In the reporting period, the value of the imports decreased by 70 percent year-on-year – down to $18.8 million from last year’s $64.3 million.

According to the agency, Russia ranked first in terms of gasoline imports to Kyrgyzstan, with 51.9 million liters. The figure decreased by 62.2 percent year-on-year compared to 137.6 million liters in the period from January through February 2022. The value of the imports totaled $17.4 million, decreasing by 72.7 percent year-on-year over $63.8 million in the first two months of 2022.

At the same time, the imports of gasoline from Kazakhstan rose by 16 times year-on-year – from 225,600 liters to 3.7 million liters.

The value of gasoline imports from Kazakhstan amounted to $1.3 million, increasing by 6.8 times compared to $190,600 in the corresponding period of 2022.

Meanwhile, Kyrgyzstan’s trade turnover amounted to $1.7 billion from January through February 2023, which is an increase of 22.7 percent year-on-year ($1.3 billion in the same period of 2023).

Kyrgyzstan’s exports exceed $255.6 million, which is 2 percent more than in the corresponding months of 2022.

The imports to Kyrgyzstan exceeded $1.4 billion, which is a growth of 27.2 percent year-on-year ($1.1 billion from January through February 2022).
