BISHKEK, Kyrgyzstan, December 18. Askhat Alogozov, press secretary of the President of Kyrgyzstan, announced on Facebook that the country has commenced the production of heavy-duty vehicles, Trend reports.
"I want to share another good news with you. JSC Shumkar Transnational Company has started the production of SHACMAN heavy-duty trucks. The tests are going successfully," said Alogozov.
The mentioned factory is nestled in the Kemin district of the Chuy region. The production is being done hand in hand with the Chinese company Xian Yuanchao. The factory is in cahoots with the Bishkek Machine Engineering Plant, leasing a hefty chunk of 7,400 square meters for its production needs.
It aims to churn out 1,200 units of equipment each year, hitting the nail on the head for both the domestic market and exports to CIS countries.
