By Huseyn Hasanov - Trend: The Turkmen President, Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov has considered the organizational issues in the management of the Border Guard Service, the Turkmen government said on Friday.

According to the report, Dovran Egenmyradov was appointed Deputy Head of the Turkmen State Border Service after he was dismissed from the post of pro-rector for academic affairs and research of the Turkmen Border Institute.

Moreover, Allamyrat Yalkanov was appointed deputy head for the educational work of the Turkmen State Border Service. Previously, he served as the chief of the Caspian Sea border units of the State Border Service.

According to the Turkmen president's another decree, Tuvakmyrad Shiriyev was dismissed from the post of Deputy Head of the Turkmen State Border Service for serious shortcomings in the work.

The message also said that Chief of the State Border Service Murad Yslamov made a report on the situation on the state border and taken measures to strengthen its security at the meeting of Turkmen State Security Council.

"The president stressed that fulfilling their sacred military duty, border guards must always remember that Turkmenistan's border on land and at sea should always remain the border of friendship with all neighboring countries, nations with whom our people have long-standing ties of good neighborliness and fruitful cooperation that goes into the current historical era, to a new level of development," the message said.

Turkmenistan has a land border with Afghanistan, Iran, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan and neighbors to Azerbaijan, Iran, Russia and Kazakhstan across the Caspian Sea.

The country's military doctrine is based on the policy of neutrality and defense sufficiency. Turkmenistan hasn't joined any military-political blocks of the world.
