Oil-extracting enterprises of Turkmenistan's 'Turkmennebit' ('Turkmenoil') state concern produced more than 1.26 million tons of oil since early 2016, the message of the oil and gas ministry of Turkmenistan said.
Of the specified amount, the volume of oil sent for processing was 687,000 tons more than in the first quarter of 2015, according to the message.
Currently, the state concern operates about three dozen fields, including more than 600 oil fields, as well as oil and gas deposits, which are at different stages of development.
In recent years, the 'Turkmennebit' launched a large-scale geological and exploration work at the field 'Northern Goturdepe' on the Turkmen shelf of the Caspian Sea.
