The Ministry of Industry and Construction of Turkmenistan is working to develop the country’s industrial sector based on rich deposits of the country's minerals and raw materials, Trend reports with reference to Business Turkmenistan information portal.
The ministry plans to launch the production of metallurgical silicon from local raw materials, said Deputy Prime Minister of Turkmenistan Shamuhammet Durdyliyev during a working meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers attended by President of Turkmenistan Gurbanguly Berdimuhamedov
Durdyliyev reported that Turkmendemironumleri (Turkmen Steel Products) state enterprise of the Ministry of Industry and Construction of Turkmenistan manufactures various types of products for the country’s numerous construction sites.
“Chemical additives are used for receiving better quality of metal products manufactured at the enterprise,” Durdyliyev said.
The ministry Together with the Institute of Chemistry of the Academy of Sciences, the ministry conducted practical tests and obtained positive results for the production of a chemical additive from quartz sandstone, iron mixtures and petroleum coke from the Mane deposit located in the foothills of Kopetdag.
Berdimuhamedov stressed that the development of local resources and the creation of new industries will allow increasing export of products.
The head of state stressed that active industrial development on the basis of local resources will improve the export of high-quality products.
