BAKU, Azerbaijan, August 15. The area of land in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan sown with rice has been published, Trend reports citing the Turkmenistan Golden Age online newspaper.

This year, 10,200 hectares have been sown in the region, from which 47,400 tons of rice are planned to be harvested.

A significant part of the land was sown in the Charjew district of the Lebap region. This year, 2,430 hectares were sown in the district, from which it is planned to harvest 11,200 tons of rice.

At the moment, the rice fields are being cared for according to the norms of agricultural technology.

The agricultural sector in Turkmenistan is developing rapidly. This is one of the most important sectors of the economy of Turkmenistan.
