BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 5. Representatives of the Turkmen Demiryollary OJSC, who are on a working visit to Belarus, held a business meeting with representatives of the Belarusian Railway during which they discussed the increase in the volume of cargo transportation by rail, Trend reports with reference to the Turkmenawtoulaglary Agency (Turkmen automobile service).

The Turkmen side was represented at the meeting by Allaguly Hudaiberdyev, Deputy General Director of the Demiryollary OJSC, and Pyotr Dulub, First Deputy head of the Belarusian Railway, from the Belarusian side.

During the meeting, the sides discussed the development of mutual cooperation in the railway sector of the two countries and also exchanged views on the activation of partnership along the East-West and North-South international transport corridors.

The business meeting took place within the framework of the international conference "Railway logistics: current development challenges".

Meanwhile, the Turkmen delegation took part in the "Railway logistics: current development challenges", held under the slogan "Joining forces — to common success" international conference, organized by Belarusian Railways company

The conference was attended by the heads of the railways of Turkmenistan, Russia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, and Uzbekistan, as well as companies from China. In total, it gathered more than 160 participants from 6 countries in its fields.
