ASTANA, Kazakhstan, September 19. Kazatomprom, the Kazakh national company, signed memoranda of cooperation in the field of digitalization with Samsung Electronics and Honeywell, Trend reports.
"Kazatomprom, being a world leader in the mining and sale of uranium, continues to actively introduce digital technologies into the nuclear industry of Kazakhstan," the company said.
As the company noted, the parties intend to strengthen mutually beneficial cooperation by implementing promising projects on digitalization and automated systems for managing technological business processes in the uranium mining industry.
"As part of the memorandum, the partners plan to pay special attention to such key areas as big data, intelligent management, cloud technologies, and automation of process control. The use of innovative digital solutions at enterprises will allow the nuclear holding to remain competitive, increase labor productivity, and ensure the safety of production personnel," the company added.
"Kazatomprom" is one of the leading global companies operating in the sectors of nuclear energy and uranium mining. The company enjoys a 24 percent share in the global production of uranium and employs around 20,000 people, which makes it one of the top companies in Kazakhstan in terms of strategic importance.
