ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, October 31. Turkmenistan will soon put into operation a new high-voltage Mary-Ahal power transmission line, Trend reports.
Deputy Prime Minister for Construction, Industry and Electric Power Baymyrat Annamammedov reported on the ongoing preparations for commissioning to President of Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov during a cabinet meeting.
He noted that the Mary-Ahal power transmission line is one of the stages of the project built as part of the formation of a unified ring power system in the country.
At the same time, the Deputy Prime Minister also reported on preparations for laying the foundation of a combined power plant with a capacity of 1,574 MW, which will be built on the territory of the Balkan region of Turkmenistan.
Meanwhile, the development of the electric field in Turkmenistan is a strategic priority for the country, gaining special importance in the context of its desire for modernization and sustainable economic growth.
