ASHGABAT, Turkmenistan, November 18. The cotton gin plant of Danew district located in the Lebap region in the east of Turkmenistan has exceeded the production plan from January through October this year by 2 percent, Trend reports.
During the specified period, the enterprise manufactured products and performed tasks totaling over 10.21 million Turkmen manat ($2.92 million), instead of the planned 10 million Turkmen manat ($2.86 million).
Furthermore, in the first ten months of this year, the factory produced 1,797 tons of fiber from recycled raw materials.
Turkmenistan plans to invest more than $300 million in the textile industry by 2025 and implement more than 30 projects.
The major areas of these investments are the development of current capabilities and the establishment of more than ten new production facilities based on existing firms.
