Simon McDonald, permanent undersecretary and head of the Diplomatic Service at the Foreign and Commonwealth Office of the United Kingdom, will visit Uzbekistan on Sept. 24.
His visit’s program includes meetings and discussions on topical issues of the Uzbek-British agenda in the Uzbek Senate, Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and the National Center for Human Rights of Uzbekistan.
McDonald will also meet with the staff and students of the University of World Economy and Diplomacy, the Uzbek Foreign Ministry’s press service said.
Simon McDonald joined the British Diplomatic Service in 1982 and has served in Berlin, Jeddah, Riyadh, Bonn, Washington and Tel Aviv, and in a wide range of jobs in London.
