Uzbekistan started export of paints and varnishes to the US, Russia, and Afghanistan for the first time this year, Trend reports referring to the State Customs Committee of Uzbekistan.
More than 2,674 tons of paints and varnishes worth $1.3 million US were registered in the customs regime of export in Uzbekistan over the past eleven months of this year.
According to the Committee, 772 tons of paints and varnishes more were exported from Uzbekistan compared to the same period in 2019, which accordingly increased revenue by $321,000.
Some 36 percent of this type of product from the total volume was exported to Turkmenistan, 30 percent to Kazakhstan, and 21 percent to Kyrgyzstan.
A twofold increase in the export of products to Tajikistan was registered during the reported period.
The value of exports of commodity group 3209 "Paints and varnishes (including enamels and lacquers) based on synthetic polymers or chemically modified natural polymers, dispersed or dissolved in an aqueous medium" from Uzbekistan totaled $465,000 in 2019.
