BAKU, Azerbaijan, Feb.12

By Natavan Rzayeva - Trend:

Uzbekistan and Kazakhstan are considered promising areas of cooperation in the transport sector, Trend reports via Uzbek Ministry of Transportation.

Recently, Uzbek and Kazakh authorities head a meeting of the working group on transport issues.

At the negotiations held under the leadership of the Deputy Minister of Transport of Uzbekistan Abdusamat Muminov and the Deputy Minister of Industry and Infrastructure Development of Kazakhstan Berik Kamaliev, promising areas of cooperation, as well as issues related to improving the conditions for the transportation of goods were discussed.

At the meeting, the parties confirmed the importance of accelerating the process of resuming passenger transportation by ground transport.

In addition, the issue of introducing new routes in servicing air traffic on territories of the countries was discussed.

The introduction of these routes will serve a significant reduction in aircraft flight times, which will have a positive impact on the global environmental situation, as well as fuel efficiency.
