BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 31. Representatives of the Uzcharmsanoat association and the Turkish Birlik Shoes Sole company held a meeting during which they discussed the expansion of bilateral investment cooperation and the opening of a new joint venture with the participation of investments of this company, Trend reports.
According to the official source of Uzbekistan, the Turkish company has expressed its intention to launch a new joint venture for the production of women's and children's shoes.
During the meeting, the Turkish side was provided with detailed information about the conditions created for foreign investors in Uzbekistan, achievements in the leather and footwear industry, the investment environment, and export volumes.
Representatives of the Turkish company stressed that the economy of Uzbekistan demonstrates stable growth rates, and stated that this increases the attractiveness of cooperation with Uzbek enterprises, including in the leather and shoe industry.
Meanwhile, at the initial stage of the project, the Turkish company plans to invest $1 million.
