Gold coin prices climbed in Iran today. One old-design Bahar Azadi gold coin was valued at $575 and one new-design Bahar Azadi coin was valued at $574.
Mehr news agency reports the old-design coins were sold for $569 yesterday and new designs were valued at almost $567.
The Central Bank of Iran mints and sells the Bahar Azadi gold coins.
The dollar exchange rate was 19,015 rials today in Iran's free market while the euro cost 23,350 rials, and the British pound was 30,000 rials.
Yesterday the rates were 19,001 rials for the dollar, 23,250 rials for the euro and 29,850 rials for the British pound.
Iran's Central Bank has set the country's official exchange rate at 12,260 rials to the dollar.
