Italian Foreign Minister Emma Bonino said Europe should seize the opportunity on Iran provided by the election of President Rohani, IRNA reported.
She said Iranˈs half-open window would not remain open forever because of one thousand reasons, so the factor of time in talks between the West and Iran is very important.
Speaking in a program in Radio Radicale on Friday, Bonino expressed hope that more of her colleagues from western countries visit Iran.
The Italian Foreign Minister added the West should not again miss an opportunity which it missed during ex-President Mohammad Khatami, adding that she is optimistic that the West acts more intelligently this time.
She said economy is very important today and is not a side issue.
Referring to Syrian crisis on the eve of Geneva-2 conference, Bonino stressed on the necessity of reducing violence during the talks and said that escalation of the crisis would not help political solution, but, on contrary, make the whole region more fragile.
Bonino was the first senior diplomat among 28 European Union membe states who visited Tehran after the election of President Hassan Rohani.
