Iranian Air Force fighters have started military exercises in the country's first Tactical Air Base in the capital city of Tehran.

The goal of the exercises is to prepare for the military parade which will take place in Tehran on the occasion of Day of the Iranian Armed Forces, the country's IRNA news agency reported on April 14.

Iran celebrates the Day of the Armed Forces on April 18.

All units of the Iranian Armed Forces and the Islamic revolutionary Guard Corps (IRGC) including Air Force fighters will participate in the upcoming parade.

The parade will take place in front of the mausoleum of former Supreme Leader Ayatollah Khomeini.

Iranian Air forces' fighter jets, bombers, cargo and transportation planes, including F-4, F-5, F-7, Saeqeh, Sukhoi-24 (SU-24), Mig-29, Mirage and the logistic C-130 planes will be used in the exercises.
