Iran exported 38,600 metric tons of smiling pistachio worth $321 million in the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year.
The figure shows over 21 percent increase compared to same period previous year, Iran's ISNA News Agency reported on Nov. 9.
The average price for each kilo of Iran's pistachio was around $8.3 in the mentioned period.
Pistachio exports accounted for 1.65 and 1.48 percent of the country's total exports in terms of weight and value, respectively.
According to Iran Customs Administration, some 10.1 metric tons of smiling pistachio worth $82.2 million were exported from Iran in the seventh calendar month of current Iranian year (September 23 - October 22).
Iran's pistachio exports in the seventh calendar month were 18 percent more than the same month previous year.
According to Iran Customs Administration, the country's total non-oil trade amounted to $57.214 billion in the first seven months of the current Iranian calendar year.
Iran's non-oil exports accounted for $26.943 billion of the mentioned amount, while imports accounted for $30.271 billion.
