Turkey almost doubles oil import from Iran in August, compared to July, Turkey’s Energy Market Regulatory’s latest statistics indicate.
Iran exported 854,848 tons of crude oil in August to Turkey. The figure equals about 204,000 barrels per day.
The figure was 438,507 tons in July and 437,616 tons in the first half of 2016.
Iran shares about 23 percent of Turkey’s total crude oil imports in August, the statistics indicate.
Iran also imported 2,041 tons of oil products from Turkey during August, the report said.
