Iranians made 1 billion minutes international phone calls in the first 10 months of the current Iranian fiscal year (since March 20), according to Sohrab Aqbayat, an official with the Telecommunications Infrastructure Company.
The phone calls were made through circuit equipment and simultaneous forwarding of calls on the VoIP (Voice over Internet Protocol), Aqbayat said.
“775 million minutes of the phone calls were made from Iran outward and 508 million minutes were received from outside.”
Iranians had made 2.2 billion minutes international phone calls during the previous Iranian year.
