Iran has produced 1.65 million tons of sugar in the current agricultural year, setting a new record unprecedented in the country’s history.
Deputy Minister of Agriculture Abbas Keshavarz said that in the past fall, not only sugar beet fields, but wheat and rapeseed fields were exceptionally high-yielding, Mehr news agency reported March 19.
