Bunkering of Iran’s fuel oil and diesel decreased from 9.01 million liters per day (ml/d) in a fiscal year to March 2013 to 5.16 ml/d in a fiscal year to March 2017, an official document, prepared by Iran’s Oil Ministry says.

Iran’s gas oil production reached 89.46 ml/d during the last fiscal year, about 8.23 ml/d less than the same fiscal year to march 2013. However the consumption volume also decreased by 23.48 ml/d, which led to increasing the exports from 0.71 ml/d to 11.03 ml/d.

Iran’s fuel oil prodcution also decreased by 14.24 ml/d to 63.3 ml/d, but its consumption also decreased by 36.75 ml/d to 14.02 ml/d.

The document didn’t mention the country’s fuel oil export, but according to another document, obtained by Trend, the volume reached 46.2 ml/d during the eleven months of last fiscal year.

Iran hadn’t increased the refining capacity during 2013-2016, but its oil products export rose due to low liquid fuel using in power plants, which plunged from 26 billion liters to 10.5 billion liters annually during the mentioned period.

Iran refined 1.7 million barrels per day (mb/d) of crude oil and 70,000 b/d of gas condensate during the last fiscal year. The outout was 1.71 mb/d of oil products.
