Iran sees growth in value of goods exports

The value of Iran’s exports of capital goods has increased by 8.7 percent over the last fiscal year (starting March 20).

According to the latest statistics by the country’s Ministry of Industry, Mine and Trade, Iran exported worth of $8 billion of capital goods last year.

However, the volume of the exported capital goods dropped by 0.2 percent in the mentioned period. In the meantime, the Islamic Republic’s exports of consumer goods increased by 22 percent in terms of value and 12.6 percent in volume.

According to the report, the country received $8.3 billion in income through exporting 2.6 million tons of consumer goods. Although the value of exports of intermediate goods increased by two percent, their volume fell by 8.9 percent.

The volume of exports of intermediate goods stood at 28.35 million tons valued at $26.3 billion.
