The Director-General of Economic Affairs and Finance of Kermanshah Province said last year a $92 million investment license was issued for a German company to build a solar panel production unit in the Oramanat region of the province, which is still waited for water allocation.
The German Company has promised to create employment for 1,250 people by investing $ 92 million in the first phase, Amir Hamzeh Heydarian said, Trend reports citing IRNA.
He added that the German company was due to invest 350 million euros in the next phase.
"This project needs 17 liters per second of water, but so far the requests for drilling wells in the site of the complex have remained unfulfilled,” he added.
Heydarian called for the cooperation of a regional water company of the Kermanshah Province to supply water to the solar panel production complex.
He went on to say that this project will meet domestic needs for up to 2 years.
The solar panel production complex project is to be constructed at the "Biashush" in the Oramanat region of Kermanshah province. Oramanat is located in Kermanshah province with a population of about 300,000 people.
