Iran's industrial production increases

TEHRAN, Iran, June.19

Iran's industrial and mineral products had 32 percent growth during the first two months of the current Iranian year (started March 21, 2021).

Official statistics released by the Ministry of Industries, Mine and Trade indicated 39 products in the field of industry and mine had increased compared to the same time in last Iranian year (started March 20, 2020), Trend reports citing IRNA.

The auto manufacture in the first two months of the current Iranian year in domestic factories had an 8.8 percent growth to 127,700 vehicles.

Automakers produced 9,477 pickup trucks during this period that increased 12.9 percent, while 215 buses, minibusses, and vans and 956 trucks and trailers had a 3.2 percent decline and 45.5 percent growth respectively. The production of agriculture vehicles included 62 combine harvesters that had 6.9 percent growth and the production of 2,000 tractors indicated a 23.3 percent decline.

The production of tires in the first two months of the current Iranian year had 1.3 percent growth and reached 40,200. The production of leather and shoes has increased 27.3 percent and 24 percent with 4.9 million square foot leather and 15.5 million pairs of shoes.

Statistics show 179,600 washing machines were produced during this time and had a 40.9 percent growth compared to the last Iranian year.
