Larijani blasts Saudi Arabia for continuing to attack Yemen
Majlis (Iranian Parliament) Speaker Ali Larijani strongly slammed Saudi Arabia for continuing its airstrikes on the Yemeni nation, IRNA reported.
'After the Mina incident, the Saudi officials have not done anything effective to improve the situation and their continued attacks on Yemen will not help Saudi Arabia to gain anything,' Larijani said in a meeting with senior Iranian cleric Ayatollah Seyyed Mohammad Javad Alavi Tabatabaei Boroujerdi in the holy city of Qom, Central Iran, on Friday.
He reiterated that the Mina tragedy was caused due to the Riyadh government's mismanagement.
In another meeting in Qom, Larijani said on Friday that Saudis have had very bad behavior handing over bodies of the September 24 Mina catastrophe victims.
Speaking to the instructor and member of the Society of Qum Seminary Instructors Ayatollah Seyyed Jaafar Karimi on Friday, Larijani said operations for delivery of the bodies of the Iranian victims of the incident have started as of Friday and based on the statistics available bodies of 23 Hajj pilgrims have thus far been delivered.
Thousands of the Muslim world pilgrims, including 465 Iranian pilgrims, lost their lives in Mina incident in Saudi Arabia.
