Tskhinvali authorities release three more Georgians

De facto authorities of Tskhinvali region released three Georgians, Interior Ministry of Georgia said on Thursday. According to the report, the citizens were released as a result of intense negotiations of representatives of the Analytic Department of the Interior Ministry and the Main Interior Department of Shida Kartli with de facto authorities of Tskhinvali.

De facto authorities of Tskhinvali region released three Georgians, Interior Ministry of Georgia said on Thursday. According to the report, the citizens were released as a result of intense negotiations of representatives of the Analytic Department of the Interior Ministry and the Main Interior Department of Shida Kartli with de facto authorities of Tskhinvali.

"On April 19, Russian soldiers detained shepherds Arsen Lapachi and Gaioz Elikashvili (both born in 1957) on charges of "illegal crossing" of the so-called administrative border of occupied Tskhinvali region in the village of Kere, as well as Dmitry Ginturi, born in 1937, in the village of Mejvriskhevi. As a result of intensive negotiations, de facto authorities in Tskhinvali region released three illegally detained citizens this morning," the Interior Ministry's statement says.
