Which sectors of Turkish economy attract Iranian & Russian investors?

In January 2019, 115 Iranian and Russian companies were registered in Turkey, with a total capital of 19 million liras, the Turkish Union of Chambers and Commodity Exchanges (TOBB) told Trend.

In January 2019, 104 companies with Iranian capital were registered in Turkey, which is 66 more than in January 2018.

The total capital of Iranian companies registered in Turkey in January amounted to 16.937 million liras, while in January 2018 it amounted to only 3.775 million liras.

In January 2019, the number of registered Iranian companies in Antalya and Istanbul was 13 and 81, respectively.

The remaining 10 Iranian companies were registered in other cities of Turkey.

According to the TOBB, the largest number of Iranian companies registered in Turkey in January 2019 were involved wholesale and retail trade (41 companies), while the industrial enterprises were 12.

Also, three Iranian construction companies were registered in Turkey in January 2019.

In January 2019, nine companies with Russian capital were registered in Turkey, which is five companies more than in January 2018.

The total capital of Russian companies registered in January 2019 in Turkey was 2.090 million liras, while in January 2018 this figure was 2.610 million liras.

According to the TOBB, among the Russian companies registered in Turkey in January 2019, five are are involved in wholesale and retail trade, while one is a financial company.

In January 2019, the number of registered Russian companies in Antalya and Istanbul was four and five, respectively.

In January 2019, in Turkey as a whole, 11,400 companies were registered and 5,000 were closed.
