As many as 58,439 vehicles were delivered from the Turkish port of Tuzla to the Italian port of Trieste from January through July 2021, the Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
As reported, 60,903 vehicles were transported in the opposite direction (from Trieste to Tuzla).
Thus, the total number of vehicles transported between the two ports during the specifying period amounted to 119,342 vehicles.
At the same time, Turkish ports handled a total of over 1.18 million vehicles, the ministry said.
Ro-Ro ships delivered 472,022 vehicles to Turkish ports during the reporting period.
From January through July 2021, 716,691 vehicles were sent from the ports of Turkey by Ro-Ro ships.
Turkish ports handled 145,316 vehicles in total in July of this year. In this month, Ro-Ro ships delivered 58,106 vehicles to Turkish ports, and 87,210 vehicles were transported from the Turkish ports.
