BAKU, Azerbaijan, May 2. A total of 30,929 cars were delivered from the Turkish port of Tuzla to the Italian port of Trieste, and 23,933 in the opposite direction from January through March 2022, Turkish Ministry of Transport and Infrastructure told Trend.
The transshipment of cars between two ports in the specified period amounted to 54,862.
The ports of Turkey handled 197,038 cars in March 2022.
According to ministry, Ro-Ro ships delivered 76,020 vehicles to Turkish ports during the reporting period. At the same time, 121,018 cars were sent from the ports of Turkey.
Turkish ports handled 552,712 cars in 1Q2022.
Ro-Ro ships delivered 206,115 vehicles to Turkish ports from January through March 2022 and 346,597 vehicles shipped from Turkish ports.
Ports of Turkey handled 2.09 million cars in 2021.
Ro-Ro ships delivered 790,274 vehicles to Turkish ports during the reporting period.
A total of 1.3 million cars were shipped from Turkish ports by Ro-Ro ships at the end of 2021.
