BAKU, Azerbaijan, July 15. Turkish steel exports to Uzbekistan increased by 70.1 percent from January through June 2024, compared to the same period in 2023, totaling $36.9 million, Trend reports via the Turkish Ministry of Trade.
"Türkiye exported $6.8 million worth of steel products to Uzbekistan in June 2024, which is 60.3 percent more than the same period last year," the ministry stated.
From January through June 2024, Türkiye's steel exports rose 10.6 percent year-on-year to $7.9 billion.
"Türkiye exported steel worth $1.3 billion in June this year, up 0.7 percent year-on-year," the ministry added.
The ministry also noted that Türkiye exported $15.6 billion worth of steel in the last 12 months (June 2023–June 2024).
