Azerbaijan will participate in the World Islamic Economic Forum, chairman of the forum Tun Musa Hitam said at a press conference in Baku Sept. 17.
"Azerbaijan is a leader in the region, so it can become a valuable partner of the forum," he said. "Moreover, there is well-developed infrastructure that opens up great opportunities for Azerbaijan."
"The forum also opens up great opportunities for entrepreneurs and creates various opportunities for cooperation," he said.
He said that the forum brings together not only Islamic, but also other countries.
"Finance, trade and tourism are discussed at the World Islamic Economic Forum," he said. "This forum brings together entrepreneurs from Islamic countries."
The next meeting of the forum, held for the past 11 years, will be held in Kuala Lumpur on November 3-5.
More than 2,500 delegations and representatives of different countries will take part in the forum.
Among the guests are the presidents of a number of countries.
