Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov will visit Iran on March 7, spokesman for the Iranian Embassy in Azerbaijan Abbas Isgandari told Trend.
During the visit, Azerbaijani Foreign Minister will attend the eighth session of the intergovernmental commission on economic cooperation, co-chaired by minister himself.
Co-chairmen of the intergovernmental commission are Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov and Iranian counterpart Ali Akbar Salehi.
The previous meeting of the commission was held in March 2008 in Baku.
As of 2010, foreign trade turnover between Azerbaijan and Iran hit $243,219 million. The export operations were carried out to the amount of $124.98 million. Roughly $118.24 million fell to import.
Then expert meeting, which will prepare the agenda of the meeting, will be held on the eve of the meeting of intergovernmental commission in Tehran, Isgandari said.
