The Kurdish and Alawite states will never be created in Syria, Turkish Foreign Minister Ahmet Davutoglu was quoted today by Anadolu agency as saying.
Davutoglu said that a unitary form of government will remain in Syria after Bashar al-Assad leaves his post.
Previously, some Arab media reported that after Syrian President Bashar al-Assad leaves his post, the Kurdish and Alawite states will be created in the territory of the country.
Anti-government protests have continued in Syria for more than a year and half. According to UN, the total number of victims of the conflict in Syria exceeds 60,000.More than 230,000 have become refugees with around three million in need of humanitarian assistance. The Syrian authorities say they oppose the well-armed militants.
