Azerbaijani political analyst: It is unethical to associate concept of honor with schoolgirls wearing hijab

Azerbaijan, Baku, Jan. 17 / Trend /

It is unethical to associate the concept of honor with the issue of schoolgirls wearing the hijab, Azerbaijani political analyst, Mubariz Ahmedoglu, said.

"It is unethical to associate the concept of honor with the issue of schoolgirls wearing the hijab, because only a small part of the younger generation, family members and relatives of believers residing in Azerbaijan, wear the hijab. The rest of relatives and friends do not comply with these rules. It turns out that uncovered women in Azerbaijan are dishonest, does not it? The current generation of Azerbaijani believers must not commit actions seriously affecting the dignity of our people. The issue of hijab is nothing but a topic of discussion between religion and secularism," director of the Center for Political Innovation and Technology and political analyst, Mubariz Ahmedoglu, told Trend.

He said that the reliability of sources that inform the known religious figures in Iran on the situation in Azerbaijan causes doubts.

"The expressed positions concerning Azerbaijan testify to it. The famous religious leader Ayatollah Jafar Subhani made these statements. He said that people defending their honor and dignity are arrested in Azerbaijan. Subhani's position is absolutely wrong, "he said.
