The volume of electronic-commerce was 683,700 manat in Azerbaijan in January-March 2014, the Azerbaijani State Statistics Committee said on April 15.
The total volume of retail electronic commerce increased by 31 percent in Azerbaijan compared to the same period of 2013, according to the report.
Both physical and legal entities participated in the e-commerce market.
Legal entities purchased 81.7 percent of goods, while physical entities - 18.3 percent.
Non-food goods accounted for 91.6 percent of turnover in the e-commerce market.
The total volume of retail commerce was 5.1 billion manat in Azerbaijan in January-March 2014.
The sale of consumer goods in the country increased by 9.2 percent compared to the same period of 2013.
Some 2.7 billion manat fell to consumer goods (food, beverages and tobacco), while 2.4 billion manat - the non-food products. Non-food products showed a 4.5 percentage increase for the period.
