Azerbaijani Foreign Minister Elmar Mammadyarov received today candidate for the post of Council of Europe secretary general and Polish senator Vlodzimezh Chimoshevich.
During the meeting, the sides said they are satisfied with development of ties between Azerbaijan and Poland and emphasized a need for use of opportunities to deepen them, the Foreign Ministry said.
As to the occupation of Azerbaijan's lands, Mammadyarov said ethnic cleansing and occupation is unacceptable in modern world. Foreign minister clarified Azerbaijan's position on resolution of the Nagorno-Karabakh conflict to the senator.
The sides also exchanged views about bilateral, regional and global issues.
