About 60% of tax levies transferred from Azerbaijan’s non-oil sector to state budget

The Azerbaijani Taxes Ministry ensured transferring 4.8 billion AZN of tax levies to the state budget in January-August 2014, the ministry reported Sept. 11.
The specific weight of proceeds on profit tax hit 33.9 percent of a total volume of tax levies, value added tax - 27.3 percent, income tax - 12.9 percent, excise tax - 10.7 percent, other taxes - 15.2 percent, according to the statement.
Tax deductions from the non-oil sector to Azerbaijan's state budget amounted to 2.77 billion AZN or 57.7 percent of a total volume of revenues.
The proceeds through this line increased by 15.1 percent compared to the same period of last year, the report said.
The forecast on tax deductions for 2014 for the Tax Ministry is set in the volume 7.1 billion AZN.
Some 54,285 taxpayers passed state registration in Azerbaijan during this period.
The total number of taxpayers as of Sept. 1, 2014 was 585,584 people.
In January-August 2013, the specific weight of tax declarations, presented in electronic form, amounted to 90.8 percent.
The official exchange rate is 0.7843 AZN/USD on Sept. 11.
