BAKU, Azerbaijan, April 10. Azerbaijan's Prime Minister Ali Asadov met with Governor of Russia's Astrakhan region Igor Babushkin, who is on a visit to Azerbaijan, Trend reports via the Cabinet of Ministers of Azerbaijan.
At the meeting, the fruitful cooperation between the Republic of Azerbaijan and the Astrakhan region was mentioned, and the role of this interaction in the development of Azerbaijan-Russia relations was noted.
In addition, it was noted with satisfaction that a number of events dedicated to the 100th anniversary of national leader Heydar Aliyev will be held in Astrakhan.
Furthermore, the importance of "The Caspian Sea – Sea of Friendship" motocross, the participants of which arrived in Azerbaijan, was also emphasized.
The prospects of cooperation between Azerbaijan and the Astrakhan region in trade, economic, transport, transit, and industrial cooperation, including shipbuilding, as well as port-to-port relations and humanitarian interaction, were discussed at the meeting.
