Two individuals suspected of murdering U.S. ambassador to Libya, Christopher Stevens were detained at the Istanbul Airport, Turkish Sabah newspaper reported.

The detained are Tunisian citizens, who wanted to enter Turkey with faked passports. The suspects were taken to police station in Istanbul, where their links with anyone else in Turkey are being investigated.

Christopher Stevens and three other US officials were killed on September 11 in an attack on the US consulate in Benghazi. The movie, "Innocence of Muslims," released in the United States, caused a wave of anti-American protests in a number of Muslim countries, including Libya, Egypt, Tunisia and Sudan. The U.S. embassies have been attacked.
