Azerbaijan, Baku, 23 October/ Trend , corr A. Huseynbala/ Azadlig bloc which unites three opposition parties, is not going to stop operating. "Unlike Center for Opposition Cooperation which boycotted presidential election, there is mutual confidence in Azadlig bloc," Ali, Aliyev, chairman of Citizens and Development Party said.

The Azadlig bloc unites three opposition parties -Popular Front party, Citizen and Development party and Liberal party. Center for Opposition Cooperation includes bloc Azadlig (Popular Front Party of Azerbaijan, Liberal Party, Citizens and Development Party), Musavat Party and For Azerbaijan public forum.

At early September, parties included in Azadlig bloc the (the Popular Front Party, the Liberal Party and the Citizen and Development), the Musavat Party and the Public Forum 'For Azerbaijan'  signed a joint statement on recognition of the presidential elections to be held on 15 October as illegitimate. Government to be formed after the presidential elections, are announced as illegitimate in the statement.

Aliyev said it is not right to increase the number of organizations united in the Center for Opposition due to the other political organizations.

"I have discussed this issue many times. Attitude to the organizations not included in the Center, is based on their position towards the presidential election and ways of struggle with the government. Unfortunately, at the end of the presidential election, no organization displayed position coinciding with that of the Five. Therefore I do not see any need for expansion," Aliyev added.

He said the reason for holding meeting of Azadlig bloc separately is that Center for Opposition Cooperation has to discuss a lot of issues. In future, the further expansion of opposition's cooperation will be discussed in Azadlig bloc," he said.
