The Georgian Foreign Ministry has the only leverage of pressure on Russia's decision - a diplomatic pressure, head of the Georgian Foreign Ministry Political Department Zurab Kachkachishvili said at a briefing on May 18. He reacted so to the visit of Heads of State Duma Boris Gryzlov to Sukhumi and deployment of the Russian troops at the administrative border of Georgia with Abkhazia.
"We are able only to condemn such unilateral actions by Moscow and to call for condemnation of this fact by the international community," Kachkachishvili said.
He stressed that this is the only leverage and it will be used until the end."
"We constantly remind the international community that Russia via actions defies not only the Sarkozy-Medvedev agreement, but also the foundations of international law," the Georgian Foreign Ministry's official said.
