On Sept. 30, Novruz Holiday was accepted by UNESCO as world intangible cultural heritage, Mehr news agency reported.
In 2005, Iran applied to UNESCO to include Novruz in the UNESCO Heritage List.
Countries that mark Novruz - Azerbaijan, Turkey, Kazakhstan, Pakistan, India, also participated in the process of submitting necessary materials to UNESCO.
Consequently, the Spring Holiday will be presented as a multi-ethnic heritage.
